Our client, an multinational company is seeking Procurement Manager for their operations in Dubai. As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement and management of raw materials and chemicals for water treatment applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships within the water treatment industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for chemicals and raw materials to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain.
• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions, as well as managing performance and quality standards.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyse the cost of chemicals and raw materials, implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising product quality or compliance.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to proactively adapt sourcing strategies and identify innovative solutions.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to manage stock levels efficiently, minimizing excess or shortage of materials.

Education, Skills & Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in strategic procurement, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in sourcing chemicals for water treatment applications.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful supplier negotiations.
• Knowledge of chemical sourcing, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
