About the Role

Our client, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their operations in UAE. The role will oversee procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery of goods and services, effective supplier performance management, and compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and JAFZA procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, logistics knowledge, and a solid understanding of Middle East market dynamics, with prior JAFZA experience highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily purchasing activities, source suppliers locally and internationally, obtain quotations, and negotiate prices to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance, maintain strong vendor relationships, and resolve issues.
• Monitor purchasing budgets, analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare procurement reports for management review.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, UAE regulations, and JAFZA requirements while maintaining accurate documentation for purchase orders, contracts, customs, and audits.
• Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and support import/export activities in line with JAFZA and UAE customs procedures.
• Supervise and support procurement operations to ensure processes are followed efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of local supplier networks, import/export procedures, UAE procurement regulations, and Middle East market dynamics.
• Experience in international sourcing, logistics coordination, customs clearance, and vendor management.
